Coat of arms
[edit]Should this page show or mention her coat of arms? (See page on division of the field.) -- Daniel C. Boyer 19:34, 8 Oct 2004 (UTC)
By all means, if we can find the blazon, and an image we can use. For reference, the arms are here, though we cannot use this image. - Montréalais 18:04, 7 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Personal Education and Involvement in Education
[edit]It mentions she attended [Strathcona], can this be checked? SCHS did not open its doors until 1955. and is possible she attended Old Scona instead. Sconite 03:39, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
Date of birth
[edit]Lois Hole's date of birth is given, variously, as 19 January 1929 and 29 January 1929. Which is correct, if either? And what source states this? I haven't been able to confirm either. Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 19:07, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
- Resolved. She was born on January 30, 1929 as per the Office of the Lieutenant Governor in Alberta (see article). Mystery solved. Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 17:02, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Spelling of family name
[edit]Sources spell Lois Hole's family name alternately as Veregin and Verigin, but "e" seems more often. Digging into a few primary sources, I saw the "e" rather than the "i" being used consistently in sources closest to the family themselves: I consulted the Henderson's Edmonton city directories from the 1950s and her mother's obituary. I also saw the "e" used in the introduction to her collected speeches, Lois Hole Speaks. Timesoup (talk) 23:52, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
