Talk:Scorpius (mythology)
Appearance
I substituted Hera for 'Gaia (or possibly the goddess Juno)' as the goddess whose scorpion stung Orion. Juno was a Roman goddess that the Romans associated with Hera. She had no direct relation to Orion. Gaia is the Earth Mother whose presence looms behind the Triple Goddess of Crete, whom Greeks identified with Hera-Demeter-Athena according to context. I hope this doesn't seem confused or contentious. Wetman 02:19, 19 Jan 2004 (UTC)
- I took the liberty of disambiguating the 'Juno' reference in the comment above. If this is a Bad ThingTM please notify me. jkl 08:32, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
