[edit]

http://gismap.cityofthecolony.com currently links to MS IIS, Might be a temporary glitch, but if the issue endures, the link should be removed,Bustter (talk) 06:26, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Eliminated "external links" section, which consisted of one dead link. Bustter (talk) 13:38, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Detailed Change Notes

[edit]

Updated Mayor and Council per May 2009 election. Removed inaccurate derogatory sentence about liquor stores. Removed inaccurate unsubstantiated sentence about bankrupt businesses. Thecolonytx (talk) 23:27, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Updated Relations with Frisco, TX section. Tcresident51 (talk) 16:14, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changed the name of this section, if you don't mind. BTW, The derogatory sentence about the liquor stores - The Colony, City by the Liquor Store - should not be in the article but it is a common joke for TC residents. Until recently the surrounding cities of Lewisville and Frisco were 'dry' and did not permit liquor stores, but The Colony did. This led to The Colony having so many liquor stores per capita - 1 store per 7800 residents, compared to 1 per 44k in Frisco, and 1 per 32k in Lewisville, don't quote me on that (Numbers compiled using zip codes and City-Data). Grandscape

[edit]

Perhaps a bit subjective, living in area, thought addition of more details to article would be appropriate;

"The development of Grandscape, the 3.9 million-square-foot mixed-use project sprouting up in The Colony, Texas, takes a significant step forward. Developer Nebraska Furniture Mart, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, recently tapped Merriman Anderson/Architects to serve as designer and architect of record for the $1.3 billion, suburban Dallas/Fort Worth project." from https://www.cpexecutive.com/post/maa-tapped-to-design-1-3b-dallas-project/?utm_source=whatcountsemail&utm_medium=cpe%20daily&utm_campaign=cpe%20daily%20newsletter --Wikipietime (talk) 14:31, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
