Perhaps someone could sum up the literature about blindness here? (Of course, we don't want to make Wikipedia into yet another collection of links.)
+ "Summing up" the literature could take a book in itself, but I have added to the information on it. Incidentally, Blindness by Jose Saramago, only uses blindness a plot device meant to symbolize a deeper loss. Unfortunately, he does it to the detriment of people who really ARE blind, and further mystifies a normal biological condition. It's disgusting.

Redirect proposal
[edit]Much of the prose content of this article was added in this 2004 edit, and hasn't been touched since. It's unsourced and essay-like, and not appropriate for Wikipedia. The actual list of literary works is very incomplete. I was going to expand this article, but due to the scope of the topic, I decided to create Cultural depictions of blindness instead, and now I propose redirecting this article to that one. I'll do so in a couple of days if nobody objects. Dan from A.P. (talk) 14:22, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
