I am The Dean of Cincinnati, and my thoughts about Open Source Government match the Wikipedia philosophy. I first discovered Wikipedia when I found that someone posted a version of my essay on Open Source Government. The Dean approves of the good work done here.

Concerning Dean of Cincinnati

[edit]

Hello! Dean of Cincinnati is not the appropriate spot to post information about yourself, because that's the encyclopedic part of the Wikipedia website. User:The Dean of Cincinnati, however, is all yours to use more or less as you wish. Please see Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page for more information. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from Cincinnati Beacon. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. If you feel that the edit I reverted should not have been reverted, please contact me. --Chris (talk) 00:49, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Justin Jeffre.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 14:17, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Image:Justin Jeffre.jpg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Justin Jeffre.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Justin Jeffre.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of David A. Pepper

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article David A. Pepper, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Local politician is not notable for being a politician

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. kelapstick (talk) 00:28, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of David A. Pepper

[edit]

I have nominated David A. Pepper, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David A. Pepper. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. kelapstick (talk) 17:50, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give David A. Pepper a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. kelapstick (talk) 17:53, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to Jeff Berding. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 04:11, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello The Dean of Cincinnati! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. Speedy deletion of "Grady Warren"

[edit]

A page you created, Grady Warren, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Christian msg 22:14, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion of Grady Warren

[edit]

Please do not create attack pages as you did at Grady Warren. Attack pages and files are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images, especially those in violation of our biographies of living persons policy, will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. KeeperOfTheInformation (talk) 22:23, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article your typed seems to be libel against the subject.

The article Ideological whiteness has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to be notable, and in any case is little more than a definition. No sources cited, despite being tagged for sources for three years.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
