John William Gabriel Wing was born on January 26, 1978 in Tampa, Florida. He is the son of James David Wing and Marilyn Lee Walsh. After graduating from high school he attended the International Academy of Merchandising and Design, now called the International Academy of Design and Technology. After a brief stint as a graphic artist and marketer at the engineering firm Kisinger Campo & Associates he left to work on his golf game and take care of his mother.
