Hi, it has been one week and I haven’t heard back from the community on these factual edits to the ConocoPhillips page. I wanted to follow up before making any edits directly. Thank you for your thoughts - Afauve (talk) 17:49, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
RE: Request Edits
[edit]Hi! I work for ConocoPhillips and recognize that I have a clear conflict of interest tied to editing related articles. I noticed there are a few errors in this article and wanted to flag them for the community first for transparency before I make any edits. I would like to make sure the article is up to date and reflects general consensus. Here are the updates for consideration:
Sidebar • In the right sidebar under the ConocoPhillips logo, the image shows the company's old headquarters. (The headquarters moved in 2018.) Updated images of the ConocoPhillips Center are available in the ConocoPhillips media library. I recommend changing the existing image to an accurate image: o Image: https://static.conocophillips.com/files/pages/conocophillipscenter.jpg o Media Library: https://www.conocophillips.com/news-media/multimedia-gallery/)
• Under “Products”, add Liquefied Natural Gas

Article: Missing Section. • There is currently no description of ConocoPhillips’ operations. Recommend adding:

Article: Board of Directors
• In the “Board of directors” section, the list of board of directors is outdated. (Cite error: There are <ref>
tags on this page without content in them (see the help page). http://www.conocophillips.com/investor-relations/corporate-governance/board-of-directors/board-members/)

o Additionally, the following content should be moved to the History section, as it is not relevant to the board of directors: “On 1 August 2020, Steinar Våge who has been with the ConocoPhillips company since 1988, was elected into the position of President for ConocoPhillips Europe, Middle East and North Africa. He was previously the Senior Vice President of Global Operations, Wells and Projects at the corporate headquarters in Huston, United States, and is now located in Stravanger where the main office is located.[53]"

Hi, it’s Afauve again from ConocoPhillips. Since I haven’t heard any feedback on this, I wanted to come back to the talk pages to state that I made the proposed edits directly to the page. Just wanted to flag the edits again to maintain transparency and acknowledge that I have a clear conflict of interest. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afauve (talk • contribs) 23:16, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
Giant History Gap
[edit]This page either grossly overlaps the Conoco page or is grossly incomplete. I propose that the history section needs to be reworked to incorporate the Conoco history by reference and not as a separate timeline. This would be consistent with other petroleum company pages where there’s a distinct history of the pre-merger companies and then one starting with the run-up to the merger.
