Update this article

I want to know more about the show now that Fergeson has taken over, this article hardly talks about him (I've only watched the show a few times myself, ususally when there is a gust on that I want to see). I kind of like him, I think even he is funnier than Leno (but not as good as Dave or Conan) so It would be nice to know more about how the show has changed when he took over. Snyder - Kilborn transition

Kiborn started at the end of March. I'm pretty sure Synder's last new show was in the teens of March (I thought it was Thursday the 18th, but that might just have been the day that he pointed out the it would be the last time that they would show the full credits since that was a once a week event).

Anyway, there was at least a week gap between Snyder's last new episode and Craig's. I seem to remember Snyder helping the new guy, as it says, by going longer, but I'm pretty sure that's because Tom was planning to leave a month or two early.

However, having been several years ago, I don't have any sources short of trying to find my tape of the last episode (which I may try to do this weekend). If anyone else has more easily accessible evidence (either way if my memory happens to be faulty), that would be nice, though.

Kilborn started the Tuesday after Snyder left. You can see the promo for Kilborn at the beginning of Snyder's last show (and he gives the date of Friday March 26 if you listen to his opening comments. Gap unaccounted for

According to the dates on the chart, nearly a month passed between Kilborn's final episode and the start of the first interregnum period with guest hosts. What aired during this month? Comment: @IJBall: shouldn't we follow Talk:The Late Show (franchise)#Requested move 22 August 2018? At least for the US one, as each version has it's own series, so The Late Late Show (U.S. franchise). The Irish one could work with both, as there are no separate series articles (side note, when the move is complete, we should take care of the child articles of the Irish show, which should be disambiguated as parent. --Gonnym (talk) 06:50, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Support for both. Unquestionably more informative than TV series, which more often refers to dramas or documentaries, and having The Late Late Show (franchise) for the US version would cause confusion that each country's programme had bought the rights to use the name from some franchisor. Plagiarism?

Sorry to those who think The Late Late Show is Irish, but WCBS-TV started airing "The Late Show" on February 26, 1951, showing feature films. The Late Show was a success and was soon followed by The Late Late Show which was a second movie after the first movie ended. That too was successful and WCBS-TV started airing The Late Late Late show which was a third movie after the second movie had ended. The logo for all three shows included a stylized skyline of black buildings against a medium grey sky with several lit windows showing in the buildings, there were fewer lit windows in each version of the logo. The theme music played with the logo was The Syncopated Clock. Interestingly enough, the Wikipedia listing for The Syncopated Clock is the only mention (on Wikipedia) of the Late Show, Late Late Show, and Late Late Late Show that aired on WCBS-TV in the 1960s. The Late Late Show (American talk show) → The Late Late Show (American franchise) – This article is not about a specific TV series, but about a series of different series (talk shows) using this name, which is somewhat of a franchise. This is similar to The Late Show (franchise), which moved after this RM and Late Night (franchise), which moved after this RM. This would make all 3 articles WP:CONSISTENT with their disambiguation. Support move to The Late Late Show (franchise) as per WP:CONSISTENT, and as per the fact the show is always titled The Late Late Show with... which tends to indicate that each host's version is a different "show" under The Late Late Show "franchise" umbrella. Oppose. The Late Late Show is the name of the program. Hosts come and go, but it remains The Late Late Show. It makes sense to have created articles with the name of hosts, because each host has shaped the program according to his vision and style, but remove the host and The Late Late Show still continues.
