Brightest star

[edit]

I can't find anything on Google about Auva "becoming the brightest star in 50,000 years." Is this a scientific prediction or part of someone's cultural/religious beliefs? If it's a scientific prediction, we should explain why (supernova, etc.) this will happen. If it's a cultural thing, we should mention whose culture. If someone made this up, let's remove it. Works for me. At the current radial velocity, it will only be about 9 light years closer to us, at most. That's not enough to significantly increase the apparent magnitude. — RJH 16:34, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
