[edit]Someone may want to flesh this out with an account based on http://www.crimelibrary.com/notorious_murders/famous/lana_turner/8.html?sect=7 and surrounding pages. However, beware of accepting any one account of the homicide: Lana and Cheryl's version of the actual killing has been much questioned, and I know that a lot of people think Lana actually did the killing but Cheryl stepped forward because it made a better story. This is one where probably the right thing is for someone to do some research on the various conflicting theories & make sure we cover them evenhandedly. -- Jmabel | Talk 01:43, Feb 1, 2005 (UTC)
- There is now a good source for the alternative version (which has a noted Hollywood criminal lawyer “adjusting” the crime scene in order to protect Lana Turner by shifting the blame to her underage daughter):—
- Wilkerson, W. R. Hollywood Godfather: The Life and Crimes of Billy Wilkerson. Chicago, IL: Chicago Review Press, 2018.
- Someone should add at least a nod to this version to the article, as the stories have been circulating for so many decades. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.124.106.107 (talk) 07:11, 31 October 2022 (UTC)

Did we miss anything here
[edit]Guns, lesbianism, knives, murders, arrests, marijuana, home for problem kids, escapes, sexual abuse... I believe all the dramatic bases have pretty much been covered here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.193.144.79 (talk) 05:59, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Dead Link?
[edit]The "Lana Turner Encyclopedia" [1] reference is out of commission at this time. Somehow I doubt this was a reliable source to begin with. Bustter (talk) 17:35, 24 February 2009 (UTC) Still no LT encyclopedia - deleted the reference.Bustter (talk) 04:08, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
