which may be used to refer to the city in other articles related to the Soviet time. Irpen 22:36, Apr 13, 2005 (UTC)

Since no one is opposing, I moved the article. Balcer 23:19, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Article is almost totally unsourced. Some parts look like they are pasted from another source; for instance the "Nazi occupation" part. "Krüger" is mentioned in the third paragraph without previous context. --Turbothy 09:10, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bias

[edit]

The article references to Holocaust Encyclopedia that has numerous historical studies about the region, yet the article itself is written poorly as it does not portray those studies and explain national streotypes. There are claims that Petliura was initiating Jewish pogroms in the city in 1920, yet it is a historical fact that in 1921 he cooperated with Ze'ev Jabotinsky, the Jewish Nationalist. The article does not even mentions nor explain how that is possible. Further, the article mentions only two nationalities that escorted the Jews. How is that possible? Were the passports of the escorters checked? Or maybe simply a speculation? Is that possible that maybe Russians were among the escort, or other even Polish? There could have been even Italians, but for some reasons the article mentions Ukrainians and Germans. What is up with that? Does the article imply that Ukrainians commit the Holocaust? How come the article does not mention what the Russians did to the Jewish and Ukrainian population, but only to Polish? The article is vague and needs to be improved. Aleksandr Grigoryev (talk) 17:40, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In 1920 Petliura closely cooperated with the Polish government, yet the article portrays as it was not the case and supported by the Holocaust Encyclopedia. That is weird. The article is not precise on dates while it is very important issue, because the city was changing its subordination rapidly. At one point it was part of a communist puppet state Galich SSR. Considering the fact and the fact how the Soviet government tried to eradicate Petliura, is there a possibility that those bandits were simply the communists that tried to discredit Petliura's name among the local population, while it is known fact that it was part of the Soviet political tricks. The Jews of Ivanov Francov, Ukraine before WWII

[edit]

My mother was born in this city when It was part of Poland before the WWII and I don't seem to find anything about them in your page on the city. Does someone has info to add? Thanks. Mordechai Czellak — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.173.124.148 (talk) 22:46, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
