Surely Bayswater is more cosmopolitan than most parts of London (and I've lived in a few) - kaleidoscope of nationalities is pretty rare. Gerry Lynch 14:46, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
Why is Bayswater described as a "built-up district"? What does built-up mean?
- I've lived in Bayswater for a number of years - like other parts of inner london, it has virtually no single-story buildings, in fact, the average building height would probably be 3-4 stories. mgream 18:43, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Map Needs Help
[edit]The way the map is set up does not work. When you fetch the larger version, Bayswater disappears. Why have a map that explicitly excludes the article's subject location? Nickrz (talk) 14:12, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

Changes to description of immigrant communities
[edit]The recent addition, by a series of related IPs, of an excessively large list of nationalities was reverted by Dubmill here: [1]. I support that revert. Subsequently, an IP in the same range has repeatedly removed the original shorter list, which was reverted by Jayjg and me. The IP editor is now claiming a lack of sources, but it appears to me that the removal is a reaction to the rejection of their additions to make a point, which may be considered disruptive, see WP:POINT. I've now reinstated the original list, and added a "citation needed" tag, as there doesn't seem to be reasonable justification to remove it altogether at this time. --IamNotU (talk) 13:28, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
- @IamNotU: The IP editor was adding specific ethnicities (mainly Norwegian) to a series of articles including this one, and when the edits were reverted as unsourced, removed other ethnicities in what appeared to be a kind of "tit for tat". Jayjg (talk) 13:12, 19 August 2019 (UTC)
"Etymology"
[edit]I had a stroke trying to make sense of the etymology section and am typing this while waiting for medical help to arrive. Supposedly people called it [something that isn't bayswater][It could also be something else that also isn't bayswater] in the FOURTEENTH CENTURY and somehow that is supposed to be relevant? I guess the region is maned after every single person whose name start with B then. Only people who have been born since the 14th century of course. "Etymology."
